A research internship project at IISc's Centre for BioSystems Science and Engineering, quantifying single-gene and combinatorial (2-, 3-, 4-, and 50-gene) prognostic signatures across 31 TCGA cancer types, and estimating the false-positive/false-negative rate of the whole approach with a randomized null model.

A greenhouse study at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore testing whether gradual drought pre-conditioning primes rice against Xanthomonas oryzae infection — quantifying ROS-driven membrane damage, lipid peroxidation, and chlorophyll retention across two genotypes, three drought regimes, and twelve treatment groups.

Product / Engineering

A live vision-correcting display that pre-distorts on-screen content by deconvolving it against the viewer's own point spread function — with face-tracked distance and angle, ringing-artefact masking, and luma-only deconvolution to preserve contrast. Achieves 83.04% SSIM at 90 FPS, roughly a 30-point SSIM improvement over prior light-field approaches.

Computational Biology

A pair of transformer models for codon optimization in Chinese Hamster Ovary cells, which manufacture ~70% of recombinant pharmaceuticals. CHOExp learns to predict expression from a DNA sequence; CHOFormer generates an optimized coding sequence from a protein. Optimized genes reach a mean CAI of 0.847 against 0.654 for the originals, and TAI of 0.682 against 0.373.
